Joseph Galarneau is a New York-based serial digital entrepreneur and chief product officer for Verve, a leading mobile marketing platform. He previously served as co-founder and CEO of Mezzobit, a data management SaaS start-up powering thousands of leading websites that was later acquired by OpenX.
Prior to those roles, Joe was COO and digital GM for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, CTO and head of product for New York Magazine, and a digital practice leader for KPMG Consulting with clients such as The New York Times, JP Morgan, and Philip Morris.
As an adjunct professor, Joe taught at Yale and NYU, where he developed the university’s first digital product management class. He’s also traveled to China, India, Russia, and elsewhere internationally lecturing on digital strategy and advising start-ups, as well as conducting talks at TEDx, SxSW, and the Mozilla Festival. He holds an MBA from Duke, where he was a Fuqua Scholar, and is a masters candidate in data science at Columbia University.
