Confluent Health LLC, which is led by CEO Dr. Larry Benz, has added BehaVR's Pain Neuroscience Education virtual reality program to treatment options for its Louisville-area locations.

“The VR platform incorporates research-supported pain neuroscience education concepts that our specialty-trained physical therapists utilize in clinical treatment,” Confluent CEO Dr. Larry Benz said in the release. “Through the use of VR goggles, the content is enhanced and ‘stickier’ for patients. Using this new technology plus our hands-on interventions gives patients new opportunities in curbing chronic pain.” Aaron Gani, founder and CEO of BehaVR, said in the release that VR makes it easier for patients to get “deeply engaged in the mindfulness content and cognitive behavioral therapy-based emotional regulation strategies” provided through the therapy.
